Today Sophie ate cereal for the first time. It was pretty much as messy as Dr. Borenstein said it might be, but she finished the whole bowl!

We had a terrific Saturday.

First, Sophie tried yellow squash for the first time -- and she liked it!

We went to the farmer's market, for a walk in Brackenridge Park, and then to Taco Taco for lunch because I was craving a big ol' plate of enchiladas.

Here are Randy and Sophie at the restaurant. She and the Bumbo chair were a big hit with the waitresses and customers. Some college kids at the next table even asked if they could take her picture! Daddy said yes, but in the future, we will have to limit the paparazzi. ;)

At the risk of completely alienating all my aunts, uncles, and cousins in Mexico (doggies in bed with people? no, no, no señor!), I have to show ya'll this picture.

Randy's not going to be too thrilled either, as he has made his views clear on not publishing pictures of him "without clothes" e.g., in his pajamas, and in bed.

But, hello, c'mon, how adorable is this?!?!

Today Sophie got to spend the whole day with Daddy -- hurrah! Here she is sitting in her Boppy Chair, gnawing on her book. With luck, she will be reading rather than chewing books before long.

Sophie got some new toys for her 4-month birthday. She loved them all, especially this one, which is from Israel.

Speaking of which, if anyone finds toys not made in China, please let me know where. I searched and searched Babies R Us and could only find one that's not made in China. http://www.chinafreechristmas.info/

Yikes! Mommy and I fell asleep after my morning feeding. Sometimes, Wednesdays are tougher than Mondays.

Today, Sophie giggled at "Peek A Boo" for the first time. Sometimes she also giggles when I blow bubbles on her tummy or give her kisses behind her ear.

Here we are together this afternoon after work and school. We love the baby sling! :) She fell asleep about 10 minutes after I took this picture; all snuggled cozy next to Mommy.
