Tía MaryCarmen came and taught us how to make tamales just like Abuelita Mari. Sophie was an angel in the Christmas pageant, and Tela, Papa, Aunt GooGoo, Celi and Jacob stayed over Christmas Eve. plus, a birthday celebration foe Tela! Sophie, Mommy and Papa took a ride in the Hill Country on the 26th--perfect weather. A very blessed, peaceful Christmas.

Sophie and I spent New Year's 2011 weekend with the Pesqueras. Whale watching, beach, beautiful Calirfornia, good food, and best of all, time with old (me, Maeve and Luis) and new (Sophie, Leo, Aidan, Deigo, and Liam) friends!! Fantastic, relaxing, womderful, beautiful time. Best end/beginning of the year ever! Counting the days until we return.
