Sophie told me "I love you" spontaneously for the first time today!!!! I was kissing her goodbye when I was leaving for work, and she said it in Sophie-ese; it sounded like "iblubu." Marta translated, though. Oh, my little love.
This is a place to record milestones, funny stories, and other special times in Sophie's life and share them with everyone who loves her.

Marta always put the radio on the easy listening station when Sophie takes her nap, and Randy and I have gotten in the habit of putting that station on for her. Now, Sophie sings the jingle when it comes on the radio, "Q-101.9-San An-to-nio." It's just too funny when she sings it.

It's amazing how kids respond to humor and work to please their parents. This evening, on the way home from the grocery store, I heard Sophie saying, "Hellooo, helloooo." The way she said it tickled me, and made me laugh. Well, she thought of 20 other funny ways to say "hello" and keep me giggling. Funny girl.

Piyas
Sophie has this thing about her fuzzy feety pajamas. Her very favorites have little bulldogs all over them, which she indicates by saying, "phwuf, phwuf" (it's her bow-wow noise). Anyway, as you can see from the date, winter is long gone, but she insists on wearing her feeties at night. So Daddy hid them. In the bottom of her closet. And she found them.
So tonight I have the AC cranked down to about 68 degrees and my doodlebug is happily snoozing away in her phwuf phufs.
