This is us at the Greek Funstival last Saturday night. Sophie was absolutely mesmerized by the Greek dancing. One person who was missing was Sydney--she would have loved it!

Tia Marta gave Sophie this baby doll and stroller this morning, and she hasn't turned loose of it all day. She had to have it in the truck, at the store, for bath... Luckily, she didn't insist on sleeping with it! Oh, and the wubby-on-the-head is another new thing.

I can still remember, like it was yesterday, driving Sophie home from the hospital. On Navarro, right as we passed the building I'm working in now, I wished time would freeze and Sophie would stay as she was and never grow up...just about as tiny as she was in this video.

Well, if I'd gotten my wish, then we'd miss the wonder of watching her grow and learn. It really does make the world all new again when I see it through her eyes. Like tonight, Randy was whistling, and Sophie was fascinated, and then tried to whistle just like Daddy.

At La Campana Ranch

We had a fun-filled weekend. On Friday, we drove down with Aunt Sona to my friend Melaine's in-law's ranch outside George West. This is us Saturday morning on the patio.

Look at that huge, sweet Great Dane! The Martins have two, plus two other days who came to greet me and Sophie Saturday morning as we were on a walk. Sophie addressed them all as "Bubba!" (just like Wally). She was not scared a bit. It was so nice and relaxing to be out in the country, and Sophie had so much fun playing with Melaine's daughter Ray.
